Scott Solsman, 74, went to be with his Lord and Savior on the morning of September 26th. He was surrounded by his loving family, including his wife and best friend of 41 years, Cynthia.
Scott graduated from Scranton high school in 1968. He joined the Navy soon after and spent the next 4 years traveling the world on the USS America. Before having a family, Scott said those were the best times of his life. He loved seeing different places and always said Thieves Alley in Singapore was his favorite.
Whether it was manning the grill or the stove Scott was happiest when feeding his family and friends. There was always a seat at the table, and he made sure no one left hungry. When asked what was in his refrigerator, Scott simply stated "Always enough food for everybody."
Scott was an avid outdoorsman for over 50 years. Calling in spring turkeys, fishing trout streams, and spending as much time as he could in the Whitetail woods with his children and grandchildren were among his favorite lifelong pursuits.
Scott is survived by daughters, Alison Solsman and Stephanie Felton, both of Scranton, sons, Howard of Dickson City, Daniel and wife Danielle of Nampa, Idaho, and Timothy of Scranton, 10 grandchildren, nieces, nephews and countless others who loved him.
