Lee Masters Obituary

Lee Marie Masters (1955-2022)
Lakeville, PA

Lee Marie Masters, 67, of Lakeville, PA, passed peacefully with her family by her side on January 18th, 2022. Devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, Lee was born in Elizabeth, raised in Kearny, before starting her own family in North Bergen, where they lived until they built their dream home in Wantage, NJ. She later retired to Lakeville, PA, with her husband. Aside from being devoted to her family, Lee enjoyed working at the U.S. Postal Service, St. Claire's Hospital, and most recently, Woodloch Resort prior to her well-deserved retirement. Lee was first to arrive to all her grandchildren's sporting events, concerts, and award ceremonies. She came with wisdom, encouragement, delight, and extra snacks. An avid reader, monopoly extraordinaire, and antiquer, Lee also enjoyed kayaking, horseback riding, slots, and swimming. Most of all, Lee loved vacationing with her family, cooking for her grandchildren, and game nights. Lee was selflessly empathetic to everyone she encountered. She spent her entire life giving to others, her generosity truly had no limits.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Leon and Margaret Farnham, as well as her siblings Keith Farnham of Brick Township, NJ, Marlene Roebuck of Elmira, NY, and Lynn Macchia of Lodi, NJ. Lee is survived by her husband of 48 years, Thomas Masters, with whom she shared three children with. She leaves behind her daughter Donna and her husband John Hogan of Milford, PA, her daughter Darlene and her husband Jonathan Doyle of Hillsborough, NJ, and her son Michael Masters of Lavalette, NJ. Lee was the beloved "Granny" to ten grandchildren, Alyssa Harvey, Morgan Harvey, Trevor Harvey, Cassandra Cortez, Colin Cortez, Reagan Doyle, Dylan Masters, Kayleigh Masters, Haley Hogan, and Caleb Hogan. In addition, she leaves behind many friends, colleagues, and her siblings; Karen Kowalski of Wellsboro, PA, Nancy Formato of Toms River, NJ, Mark Farnham of Asbury Park, NJ, and Michael Farnham of Bridgewater, NJ, along with many nieces and nephews.

Lee gave in death as she gave in life; she was an eye and tissue donor. The family held a private memorial service in her honor following her cremation. In lieu of the usual remembrances, the family requests donations in Lee's memory to be directed to the Make a Wish Foundation at http://site.wish.org/goto/Granny_Masters
