Joseph F. Kukal

Joseph Frank Kukal Jr., age 77 of Albrightsville, PA formerly of Linden, NJ passed away surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday September 26, 2023, at Lehigh Valley Hospital – Pocono in East Stroudsburg, PA.  
Joseph was the loving husband of Patricia Eugenia Kukal who preceded him in death on Tuesday, March 28th, 2023. They would have celebrated their 53rd Wedding Anniversary this past July 25th, 2023. They are now reunited to enjoy eternity together.
He was born in Elizabeth, NJ on April 23rd, 1946, son of the late Joseph F. Sr. and Rosalie (Masnick) Kukal. He was preceded in death by a sister: Jacqueline A. Devlin and a nephew: John Devlin, Jr.
Joseph attended School #4 Elementary School, Linden Junior High, Linden High School and St. Elizabeth Church in Linden, NJ. 
Joseph had worked for Pathmark in multiple roles and stores for over 35 years. 
Joseph was President of the Linden Halloween Parade Committee in 1988 and an active participant for the Linden Halloween Parade for over 15 years, first as a decorated car participant with his family and then as an individual participant.  
Joseph loved to decorate. Every holiday, especially Halloween and Christmas, would include a spectacular display of decorations both inside and outside of his home. He thought of and created every costume and decorated car display and each year entered the decorated car category in the Linden Halloween Parade, winning first place each year.  He then continued his legacy of participating in the Linden Halloween Parade as an individual. 
Joseph loved to entertain. His love of cooking and baking inspired by his mother led to vast spreads of food and baked goods. His wine and cheese parties were memorable. His desserts were always a highlight of any dessert table at any holiday. He loved having fun with friends and family alike.
Joseph loved to landscape and be surrounded by  flowers, plants and trees. He was very proud of how beautiful he made his home in Linden, NJ and then in Albrightsville, PA look.
Joseph was President of the Soehl Middle School PTA from 1988 to 1990.
We have been blessed with the presence of Joseph in our lives.  He will be deeply missed by his loving family: a son:  Eric A. Kukal and wife Kimberly of Staten Island, NY and a daughter: Sharon F. Bell and husband Kevin of Albrightsville, PA.  
He was the loving grandfather to Macayla E. Almeida and Peter D. Almeida of Albrightsville, PA and Connor J. Kukal and Dylan J. Kukal of Staten Island, NY.
Joseph is also survived by a sister:  Patricia R. Kukal and partner Martha A. Kisch of Supply, NC, and nieces: Tracey A. Ruperto and husband Tom of Bridgewater, NJ and Taryn L. Tagliaboschi of Pompono Beach. FL. Family and friends are welcomed to a celebration of Joseph’s Life on Sunday, October 22, 2023 from 1-6pm at Joseph & Patricia’s Home, 145 Spencer Lane, Albrightsville, PA 18210.
