Tammie "Moose" Kay Blattenberger-Cortez

Tammie passed away peacefully at her home in New Paris, Pennsylvania, on July 14, 2026, and went to be with the Lord. She was born on January 27, 1961, in Denver, Colorado.

Tammie proudly served her country in the United States Army from 1983 to 1984. She was stationed in Germany as a Fire Control Specialist and received an honorable discharge. She attended Adams State College in Alamosa, Colorado, where she received a Music Education and Art Degree. She graduated from John Mall High School in Walsenburg, Colorado.

Tammie had a love for reading, painting, flowers, and birds. She will be remembered for her kind heart, caring spirit, and the love she shared with her family and friends.

She is survived by her children, Heather Martin (Spouse Ken Martin) of Alum Bank, PA, Brandi Blattenberger of Pittsburgh, PA, and Crystall Blattenberger of Bedford, PA; her brother, Tomas Springer (Spouse Debbie) of Grand Junction, Colorado; her five beloved grandchildren: Makayla Gates, Taylor Miller, Brayden Martin, Lexxy Hodgson, and Oaklee Hillegas; Nephew Tomas Gordon and Great Neice Khloie Springer of Colorado.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Gaudino "Gabby" Cortez; her brother, Clinton Mark Springer; and her parents, Chester Max Springer and Katherine Alice Springer.

In accordance with Tammie's wishes, funeral services will be held privately by the family.

Tammie will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Her memory will live on in the hearts of her family and friends forever.
