Stanley P. Olecki, 53, of Scranton, passed away on November 30, at Regional Hospital. Born in Scranton, on May 16, 1967, he was a son of the late Anthony and Gloria (Wahlmark) Olecki. As a young man, Stanley served in the United States Army. He loved to work with his hands, and made carpentry his trade. His talent for woodworking was impeccable, proudly displayed in the homes of family and friends alike. Every mantlepiece, every shelf, every house frame he built was crafted with the immense love and care he selflessly shared with those closest to him. He could fix anything and everything, never hesitating to take on new projects. He was the salt of the earth, a peaceful man, quiet and laid back. He enjoyed nothing more than camping, being out in the woods, in nature. Every night on those trips he would build a large campfire, then sit before it playing his guitar. He knew the importance of these moments, never forgetting to take pictures and videos to cherish them. He loved music, and shared that love every chance he got. He loved to play golf, and enjoyed watching sports, and was a lifelong fan of the Phillies and especially the Raiders. He was a consummate practical joker, having ‘gotten’ every member of his family. Not a single bone in his body was phony. He told it like it was, whether someone wanted to hear it or not. He did it for the good of everyone, though, and his wisdom ran well beyond his years. He knew what was important in life and what wasn’t, and always tried to instill that knowledge in others. Stanley was, more than anything, a man who cared. He was trustworthy, there for anyone who needed him, anytime. Family was always put first, never himself. His great pride in life were his sons, never missing a chance to talk about his “boys.” He was a father, brother, friend, uncle, and partner, who loved and cared with every ounce of his being. Stanley is survived by his sons, Aaron Olecki and Private Christian Correa of Scranton, PA; brother Anthony Olecki of Schwenksville, PA, sisters Marilyn (Olecki) Boland of Scranton, PA, and Antoinette (Olecki) Kaufman, Schwenksville, PA, sister-in-law Patricia (Talerico) Olecki, and brothers-in-law the late Michael Boland, and Thomas Kaufman; nieces Maggie (Boland) Pratt and Amanda Olecki, and nephews Matthew and Zachary Olecki; and his beloved partner, Lisa Desando. Do następnego razu Private Services will be held at the convenience of the family. Services have been entrusted to the Cremation Specialist of Pennsylvania.
