Robert James Dillinger

Robert James Dillinger, affectionately known as Bob or Bobby, of Wyalusing, Pennsylvania, passed peacefully into the presence of the Lord on June 7, 2026, at the age of 62.

Born on July 12, 1963, in Missouri to Patricia A. Dillinger and the late David M. Dillinger, Sr., Bob moved with his family to Oakford, Pennsylvania, in 1965, where he spent his childhood and formed many lifelong memories and friendships.

Bob will be remembered for his kindness, intelligence, humor, and outgoing spirit. He had a memorable laugh and loved his family very much. He was fascinated by computer technology, superheroes, comic books, and Star Wars, and he also loved collecting antique telephones. Those who knew him appreciated his enthusiasm for sharing the things he loved.

He was preceded in death by his father, David M. Dillinger, Sr.

Bob is survived by his mother, Patricia A. Dillinger; his siblings, David M. Dillinger, Jr. (Terri), Elaine Dillinger, and Diane D. Cole (Brian); his stepmother, Diane Metzger Dillinger; along with extended family members, dear friends, and all those whose lives were touched by his kindness and friendship.

Bob will be remembered by those who knew him, and his memory will live on in the hearts of his family and friends.

A private cremation will take place in accordance with his wishes. A celebration of life Mass will be held on August 22, 2026, at St Frances Cabrini R.C.
