Rebecca (Neyhart) Huff

Rebecca N. Huff, 71, of Trout Run, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, December 2, 2022.

Becky was born on November 17, 1951 in Williamsport.  She was the daughter of Donald J. and Marguerite E. (Fowler) Neyhart.  She was married to Jeffery M. Huff, who survives, on April 5, 1975.  The couple had been married for 47 years at the time of her passing.

Rebecca was a 1969 graduate of Loyalsock High School, where she was a member of the Lancer Concert Choir, representing Pennsylvania at the 1968 Florida Festival of States.  She then went on to Mansfield University where she earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Education.  Becky taught Home Economics, Family Consumer Science, and Foods and Hospitality for Loyalsock Middle and High Schools until retirement.  During her tenure at Loyalsock she earned a Master’s Degree in Early Education from Mansfield.  She was a passionate teacher; finding opportunities to do so up until she passed.

Becky was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, and sister; of which she spent many hours helping, providing for, and enjoying her family.  She was capable and selfless, and was always the first to lend a hand.  During her retirement, “Nan”, as she was affectionately called, relished spending time with her grandchildren.

One of her largest passions outside the family was in the world of Metaphysical Spirituality.  She earned certifications as a Reiki Master and in Massage Therapy.  She loved to attend retreats and seminars, where she could converse with similarly spiritual people.

Surviving in addition to her husband Jeff, is her mother Peggy; her 2 sons, Joshua T. (Elizabeth) Huff of Selinsgrove, and Samuel T. (Jennifer) Huff of Trout Run; 5 grandchildren, Deegan Huff, Darenger Huff, Audria Huff, Ryder Huff, and Emmett Huff; her sister Lucinda S. (Joseph) Andruscavage.

Rebecca was preceded in death by her father Don.

A celebration of life will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday Dec. 11, 2022 at the Trout Run Fire Hall, 241 PA-Route 14, Trout Run, PA 17771.  A meal and beverages will be provided by the family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made in Becky’s name to St. Jude’s Children Hospital.
