Pat (Patricia) Goode
May 17th, 1943 - July 22nd 2020
Pat was the daughter of Frank Amer “Mac” MacAllister and Florence Alice MacAllister (maiden name Douglass).
Pat was born at Hahnemann Hospital in Philadelphia, and lived in Philadelphia, Lansdowne, Pa., Drexel Hill, Pa., and, since 2018, Hershey, Pa.
Pat was a graduate of Bloomsburg State College with a specialization in speech therapy. Her longest lasting and most important career phase was as a child development therapist with the Children’s Home Intervention Program (CHIP) of Hall-Mercer Hospital, part of Pennsylvania Hospital in Philadelphia. Starting during the CHIP years and extending well beyond them, Pat mastered the alternative health treatments reiki and reflexology. She practiced them at salons, dentists’ offices, privately at her clients’ and her own home, and elsewhere.
During the CHIP years Pat learned belly dancing, and danced for many years at the Middle East Restaurant in Philadelphia and at private parties.
Pat loved gardening, home adornment, crocheting, travel and sightseeing, cats and dogs, and people. Pat’s husband Bill (William) Harvey of Hershey, Pennsylvania, and her daughter Crystal Lutza and grandson Shane Lutza, both of Grantville, Pennsylvania, make up her immediate family. a remembrance get-together is in the works. Crystal, Bill, and Bill’s sister Kathleen are planning to announce details in the weeks ahead. They will take into consideration travel distances, weather, and COVID-19 restrictions in effect.
