Michael Dean Bowers Jr

Michael D. Bowers Jr., 40, of Mechanicsburg, PA, passed away suddenly on March 15, 2026 at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA.

Born on May 11, 1985, Mike graduated Halifax High School in 2003 and enlisted in the United States Marine Corps. As a Marine Infantry Corporal, Mike served multiple tours of duty in active combat zones, earning the respect and admiration of his peers. Upon his return to civilian life, Mike attended Harrisburg Area Community College and entered the Information Technology field, most recently as an Application Development Analyst at Penn National Insurance. Mike's greatest source of pride was his two sons , Levi 11 and Bradley 8, whom he loved and cherished above all. In addition to his sons, Mike is survived by his mother Karen Kerstetter, Father Mike Bowers Sr., sister Aimee Etue, many aunts and uncles, and those fortunate enough to be called his friends.

A celebration of life will take place at Fort Indiantown Gap on April 13, 2026 at 1:30pm. Arrangements are entrusted to Cremation Specialist of Pennsylvania. www.cremationofpa.com
