Martha Ann Kaufmann

Martha Ann Kaufmann (Mocarski) was born in Philadelphia on November 19th, 1939. She is preceded in death by her loving parents, Walter Mocarski and Martha Krygier, and her triplet siblings who passed away at birth. She is survived by her sister, Mary Jane Nicklas.

In 1958, Martha met the love of her life wearing a chiffon dress at a welcome home from the Navy barbeque for Bernard Kaufmann. It was love at first sight, and they were married on July 11, 1959. They were married for 66 years.

Martha is survived by her loving husband, Bernard Kaufmann, and their five beautiful daughters: Mary Marquart (Robert), Martha Hirschman (William), Marie Kaufmann (Joseph), Michelle Senske (Kevin), Cheryl Dilliplane. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren: Jennifer, Lena, Jacqueline, Jessica, Barbara, Samantha, William, MaryKate, Megan, and Nicholas. She is preceded in death by her grandson Richard. She is also survived by 16 great grandchildren.

Martha was best known for her caring nature, her bright, welcoming smile, and her love for her family. She was always putting others first and making sure no one ever went without. She will be remembered for her giving heart. She donated monthly to St. Jude and Shriners Hospital. She created a prayer corner filled with all her loved ones, where she would pray every evening. She would spend hours picking out the perfect present and would never forget a special moment. She had the biggest heart.

We are deeply saddened to share the passing of Martha. She passed away surrounded by family on April 9th, 2026. She will be forever loved and always missed.

Family is invited in joining us in celebrating Martha's beautiful life. We are holding a memorial on Sunday, April 26th at 1:00pm at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church located at 26 1st Avenue, Richlandtown, PA 18955.
