Marilyn Bailet passed away on September 22, 2024 after a long struggle with Alzheimer’s.

She spent her early adulthood in Paris, France, drinking coffee on café terrasses, reading Albert Camus and rubbing shoulders with various artists in Montmartre. She even met Led Zeppelin once.

The WB area school district benefitted from Marilyn’s colorful personality when she returned from France in the mid 1980s to 2011, when she retired.

Marilyn was preceded in death by her father, Joseph Klein, her sister, Phyllis Thrope and her mother, Joanne Klein.

Marilyn is survived by her sister Sandra Grover and her husband Howard, her brother Howard Klein and his wife Chris. She is also survived by her son, Sidney Bailet, his wife Nicola Dacey and their three children, Zoé, Jonah and Marek. She is also survived by her 4 nieces and nephews (Adam Grover, Rochelle Labiosa, Sam Thrope and Juliana Lewis) and their families. And finally, she is survived by her cat, Louie.

She was 76 years old and will live on in our memories.
