Margaret Kors

Margaret D. Kors passed away on May 15, 2025 at Bethany Village in Mechanicsburg, PA at age 94 with her daughter by her side. She was born Margaret Kennedy on May 14, 1931 in Janesville, WI. She was married to Richard G. Kors for 71 years until he passed away in 2021. She was a loving and devoted daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She loved spending time with her large family.

She served as a volunteer at a hospital in Virginia for a number of years. She had many skills and interests that she shared with and taught her family and others, such as ceramics, sewing, quilting, jewelry design with beads, silver, wire, and oil painting. She enjoyed traveling with her husband to many different states, national parks, and countries. They enjoyed "rock hounding" in different states looking for rocks and gemstones to create various types of jewelry and crafts.

She was preceded in death by her father, Max Kennedy, her mother, Marie Kennedy, her sister, Marie Panice, her son, Richard Gregory Kors, and her husband, Richard George Kors. She is survived by daughter, Rebecca Kline, (husband David), of Mechanicsburg, PA, daughter-in-law Suzanne Lacy, (husband James), of Syracuse, NY, daughter Patricia Ballou, (husband James), of Independence, MO, daughter Alicia Dodier, (husband Raymond), of Auburn, NH, son Andrew Kors, (wife Debra), of Smithfield VA, son John Kors, (wife Whitney), of Missoula, MT, as well as 13 grandchildren, and 21 great grandchildren.

A funeral mass will be held on July 17, 2025 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 400 E. Simpson St., Mechanicsburg, PA at 10:30am. Burial will be at the convenience of the family at a later time at Fort Indiantown Gap National Cemetery in Annville, PA.
