Margaret Regina Conroy

Margaret Regina Conroy was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She passed away peacefully on January 14, 2022 at age 85.

She was born to Francis and Anne O’Brien in Wayne, PA on August 1, 1936. After graduating from high school, Margaret began a career in teaching while earning her degree from Rosemont College and Villanova University. Margaret was a loving and faithful wife of 58 years to Kevin Conroy, and raised six children in Newtown Square, PA.

She was a lifelong learner who read often and was an active member of St. Anastasia Parish. She enjoyed cheering on the Phillies, Eagles and especially Villanova basketball. We will remember Margaret for her loving nature, as she cherished her time with family at the beach in Ocean City, MD and Nags Heads, NC. She was always available for a round of “Go Fish” or “War” with her grandchildren to whom she was Grandmom.

She is survived by her husband, Kevin Conroy, and her children: Chris Conroy (Melissa) of Glenview, IL, Kevin Conroy, Jr. (Debra) of Apex, NC, Tim Conroy (Alisa) of West Chester, PA, Ann Bruccoliere (Michael) of Greenville, SC, Mary Bartlett (David) of Downers Grove, IL, and John Conroy (Tara) of Arlington Heights, IL. She leaves behind her 17 grandchildren: Caitlyn, Erin, Kevin, Noah, Brien, Holly, Ryan, Megan, Jack, Theo, Matthew, Charlie, Mary, Johnny, Cameron, Shannon, and Maggie. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother John, and she will be missed by her sisters, Patricia Poliwoda, Frances Kelly, and Katherine Guarini.

We will miss Margaret dearly, but we are so grateful for the time we had to spend with her. We will always feel her presence in our hearts.

A brief Interment will be held at Washington Crossing National Cemetery, 830 Highland Rd, Newtown, PA 18940, on Friday, January 28, 2022, at 9:30 am. Visitors welcome. A full memorial service will be arranged and communicated at a future date.
