Kathryn I. (Hoyd) Pursel

Kathryn (Hoyd) Pursel, 86, of Mountain Lake, NJ, passed away Tuesday January 29, 2019, at St. Luke’s Hospice, Bethlehem, PA, with her loving family by her side.  Kathryn was born and raised in Stewartsville, NJ, and was the daughter of the late Clarence and Emma (McCarty) Hoyd.

Surviving is her loving husband; Thomas S. Pursel of Mountain Lake, NJ.  Sons; Thomas Pursel and his wife, Cindy of Easton, PA.  Mark Pursel and companion, Maureen, of Fredon ,NJ.  Robert Pursel, of Quarryville, PA.  Seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren also survive.

As per Kate’s request, services will be private and held at the convenience of the family.  Memorial donations, if so desired, may be made to; St. Luke’s Hospice Endowment Fund, St. Luke’s University Health Network Development Office, 801 Ostrum Street Bethlehem, PA 18015-9982.  The family would like to extend their sincere thanks to the staff at St. Luke’s Hospice House for the wonderful care they provided for Kate and all of her family.  Cremation Specialist of Pennsylvania is entrusted with the arrangements.
