Jon Lent

Jon 'Lil Jon" Joseph Lent, 52, of Beach Lake, PA, passed away Friday, December 29, 2017, at his residence after an extended illness. Born January 24, 1965 in Honesdale, PA to the late Perry D. Jr. and Marlene (Johnson) Lent. He resided the majority of his life in Honesdale, but lived Newton and Green Township, NJ, before returning. He was a 1983 graduate from Honesdale High School. Jon always liked to be referred to as 'Lil Jon'. He went out of his way to lend a helping hand to family and friends in need. He had many talents from cooking to landscaping to mechanics and much more. He is survived by his wife Kathy (Van Der Groef) of Tennessee; two sons, Zachary of New Jersey; and Cody of Tennessee; his mother and father-in-laws, Adrian and Eleanor Van Der Groef of New Jersey; his cousin and good friend, Linda Armstrong of Pennsylvania, who selflessly guided and aided him in his medical time of need. Kathy and Linda would like to extend their thanks to Adrian and Eleanor for coming to our aid at this time of need and for the condolences we received from Kathy's family, his friends, and a few of his relatives.
