Joanne L. Artemik

JoAnne L. Joseph Artemik Patterson passed away on March 31, 2024, which happened to be Easter Sunday. She was 61 years old. Surrounded by her loving family, she peacefully departed this world to begin her eternal journey.

Born on July 30, 1962, JoAnne lived a life of love, kindness, and deep appreciation for nature. She found solace and joy in the simplicity of plants, the beauty of dogs, the exhilaration of horseback riding, the graceful flight of birds, and the warmth of sunshine, which mirrored her own radiant spirit.

Throughout her life, she cherished the role of being a devoted mother to her two daughters, Marie Patterson and Angella Patterson. Her unconditional love, unwavering support, and perseverance enriched their lives in countless ways.

JoAnne graduated from E.L. Meyers High School and earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from College Misericordia.

She is preceded in death by both parents Helen Marie Knauer Joseph and Robert Joseph.

She is survived by her sisters Marie Purvis, Helen Lazar, Dianne Feist, and Roberta Brown.

In her home, she shared many cherished memories with her soulmate, Jay Patterson, creating a space filled with warmth, laughter, and love despite life’s challenges.

Heartfelt thanks and gratitude to the loving caretakers at Geisinger Hospital and Allied Services Hospice Center on Meade Street in Wilkes-Barre.

Relatives and close friends will be invited to a celebration of JoAnne’s life to honor her memory at a later date.
