Heidi Metzler, born June 15, 1940, in Pforzheim, Germany, to Ida (Streckfuss) and Eugene Metzler, sister to Bernhard Metzler (Petra) passed away surrounded by the love of her family. She immigrated to the United States at the age of 20, where she built a life defined by resilience, dedication, and deep devotion to those she loved.
Heidi had been married to Thomas Casalino and later divorced. Mother to Thomas S Casalino (predeceased) and Christine Burrows. She was a proud and loving grandmother to Nicole Coppolino (predeceased), Nino Coppolino (Andrea), Tiffany Coppolino, Stephanie Coppolino Alfter, Christina Coppolino Turpin (James), Alyssa Casalino Esposito (Frank), Thomas Casalino, and Kelsey Burrows. She was also blessed with seven great-grandchildren: Everly and Levi Alfter; Ariya and Aniya Pickens; Nicole and Nino Coppolino; Hadley and James Turpin; and Frank Esposito. Nurturing Aunt to Nephews Dennis & Christian Metzler.
Heidi earned her Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Pace University. She began her professional career as a bank teller at Chemical Bank in New York City and, through hard work and determination, rose to the position of Vice President at JPMorgan Chase, where she dedicated 29 years before retiring. She later pursued a successful second career in real estate, working with Coldwell Banker in Teaneck, New Jersey, where she resided for many years. After relocating to Florida in 2005, she continued her real estate career with Daignault Realty for 18 years.
Heidi had a passion for travel and embraced every adventure life offered her. She also found great joy in cooking, often bringing family and friends together through her meals and traditions shared around the table. In her later years, she cherished the time spent living with her granddaughter Christina, traveling from Florida to the Smoky Mountains of Tennessee, and eventually settling back on the East Coast in Pennsylvania. She found her greatest joy in her family-especially her grandchildren-along with a good glass of wine and the companionship of her beloved dogs.
Heidi will be deeply missed by her family, extended family, and the many friends she made throughout her life. Her strength, warmth, and love leave a lasting legacy in all who knew her.
