Benjamin Shrek

Benjamin Thomas Shrek, 26, of Hawley, passed away unexpectedly on October 11, 2022. Born in Wayne Memorial Hospital, Honesdale, on November 26, 1995, he was a son of Tom and Jennifer (Siddons) Shrek. On September 17, 2022, he got married to the love of his life, Christina (Mckeeby) Shrek.

Ben was a graduate of Wallenpaupack Area High School. He owned his own successful tree company “Shrek Tree Care.” Ben enjoyed fishing, kayaking, and playing pool as a part of Pats Bar-Pool League. He was proud he had been clean from drugs for about five years. Completely devoted to his family, Ben would drop anything to help a loved one.

In addition to Benjamin’s wife, Christina (Mckeeby) Shrek, and his parents, Tom and Jennifer (Siddons) Shrek, he is survived by children, Scarlett and Benjamin Shrek, siblings, Jason and wife Liane, Cori Parker and husband Jeff, Katie Otoole, nieces and nephews, Izzy, Connor, Cassie, Jared, Layla, Claire, and Seamus, and close friends, Johney Sizemore, Dan Jarmolinski, Matt Hair, and Thomas O’heren.

A Celebration of Life will be held October 16, 2022 at 2:00pm at 299 Butternut Flatts Road, Honesdale PA. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Christina Shrek, 570-493-9244.
