Barry L. Riegel, 69, of Womelsdorf and formerly of Adamstown, passed away on Saturday, February 11, 2017 at the Reading Hospital, surrounded by his loving family. He was the loving husband of Mary M. (Miller) Riegel. They would have celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on February 18th. Barry was born in West Reading to Leroy J. and Annie (Strupp) Riegel. He was a graduate of Wilson High School in 1965 where he was in charge of the Stage Crew. Barry was a printer by trade following his father’s footsteps. In his spare time he played the bass guitar for the band Assembly Required. Survivors include his children Grant E., husband of Jaime, Ephrata; Janelle C., Ephrata; and Bradly J., Womelsdorf . There are also 5 grandchildren and 5 step-grandchildren. He is also survived by brother, Roddy L., husband of Kathy, Hamburg; sister, Karen R. (Riegel) wife of David L. Shollenberger of Womelsdorf. A Memorial service will be held at Calvary Bible Fellowship Church, Sinking Spring on February 24 at 11 AM with Pastor Wayne Rissmiller officiating. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Calvary Bible Fellowship Church at 4891 Penn Ave., Sinking Spring, PA 19608.
